Thursday, August 13, 2020, 3:46:10 PM- As promised, here is Muffin.
An incredible little creature, with an amazing true story. He was found as a baby in the basement of a country house where people close to us live. No trace of his mother, or any siblings.

Immediately upon being discovered, he showed no signs of being feral, but displayed, rather, true affection towards the people of the house. And their Shih Tzu too! When the dog is sleeping on the floor, he will simply curl up to its belly and they will share a nap.

Muffin weighs like 3 and 2/3 sheets of paper, but has as much heart as a pride of lions.

He doesn't quite run, he jumps sideways going forward. : ) Try to catch him, you won't. He stays still, only when sleeping.

Needless to say, he is already in his permanent home, with his Shi Tzu friend.

So much character , personality and energy in such a tiny body. : )

After a drink in the milk bowl...

Holding him on me for a moment, not sure this is exactly what he wants. ; )

Monday, August 3, 2020, 1:46:24 PM- Sunday afternoon

Daisy and I were sitting way in the back yard, I was wearing my old sandals as you can see, sipping a bit of wine when suddenly this angelic creature decided to enliven the moment. Now, I'm not the type of guy who usually has butterflies just coming around to rest on me, and I sent Daisy inside to get a camera in the hopes that our little friend would choose to stay long enough. She came back with her phone and snapped a few images. It looks like a baby Monarch. Life still is, and always will be, full of wonders.

Tuesday, July 21, 2020, 9:19:58 PM-
We went for a ride yesterday, stopped to take this pic as we enjoyed the view. The scene was humbling with the mountains close by, topped by a sprawling cerulean blue sky teeming with slow-moving, large fluffy clouds. And this field, just immense

Friday, July 10, 2020, 9:02:03 PM- The forest that felt magical to me when I was a kid...
... still did, a few days ago.

A female deer (doe), by the creek. I was downwind, trying to take the shot with this dastardly horsefly biting me in the forehead. I clicked, fumbled, and the animal quickly leaped away. smile

Better focused.

Tuesday, June 9, 2020, 2:27:19 AM- We are doing alright.
Daisy and I, still very, very much friends and lovers, are adjusting as everyone during this surrealistic period. We're both working, and quarantine measures in our area are easing although not completely removed yet. The weather has been stunningly gorgeous overall since May, and we are spending much more time outside. Will be taking a little break from here, could be a couple of days, a week, two weeks, no idea. Will be back. Carry on, try to be strong and good to each other. A trick, if it resonates with you: think more from the heart, which can be seen as the seat of the soul, and less from the brain, seat of the mind. It's as good a time as ever to do this.

Sunday, May 17, 2020, 4:30:24 PM- Why I have to go outside all the time.
It's where the connection with my sense of wonder happens, and I never want to lose it.

This is a baby toad that Daisy found in the grass this morning. Have seen toads often in my life, but not babies.

Back you go, gorgeous.

Wednesday, May 6, 2020, 9:38:28 PM- Lots of friends outside with me today in the yard.
Here are a few I managed to capture on camera.

That split-second when he decides to hightail it outta there.

You're looking good just like a snake in the grass...

Was sitting outside in a lawn chair, enjoying a beer.

Do you like it cold, mon ami?

Now where's that naked snow angel you promised me?
