Our anniversary was this past weekend and, no surprise, no sex. She did promise that she would do a sexy dance for me again (even though she said she felt silly the last time) but somehow she seems too tired every evening. He mother is coming to stay with us for about 2 months starting tonight (I adore her mom) so I sort of assume that will mean 2 more months without sex. We will see, part of the time she is here will be a few weeks camping in Florida so perhaps when her mom is not sleeping in the camper with us there will be some opportunities. Oh, well.
The Ex is still fighting Cancer and a few other health issues but has expressed that if given the opportunity she would like to hook up again - that really is a mixed bag for me, as good as it is to fuck her, I truly wish she would find a partner to stay with and not rely on me as much as she does.

Friday, January 28, 2022, 11:28:04 AM- Thursday night

Well, last night (Thursday night) after my surgeon gave me permission to take off my brace, we went out for a nice dinner and cane back to the hotel to watch tv for a bit. I was worn out and fell asleep on the sofa so we went to bed early. The Wife came out of the bathroom and surprised me with a little bit of a dance as she slipped off her 'night shirt' I was surprised to find that she was wearing a new Teddy. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 11:01:01 AM- Followup with my Dr.

I am headed back to Atlanta for my 6 week followup on the shoulder surgery and he is supposed to let me take the shoulder brace off at this point - I am tired of it - and hopefully that will make The Wife willing to have sex again but who knows. We had another 'talk' about the lack of activity and she agreed that it needs to change so I purchased a book and a few other things to try to spice it up and create reminders. She continues to 'Tease' the things that she will do, but as in the past finds a way to avoid them when the time comes. As much as I intended for January of 2022 to be the sort of jumping off point if things did not change, we have both had our medical issues over the past few months so I am trying to be understanding. That being said, we are almost past that point and she really will have no more excuses within the next few months.

Saturday, January 22, 2022, 12:42:37 PM- moving back to the bed from the recliner

The Wife has been saying that she wants me to move back from the recliner (needed due to shoulder surgery) so I have moved back for the past few nights. While I was in the recliner, she would get me set up with blankets so I did not get cold which I appreciate and then before she went to the bed, she would give me a nice kiss goodnight. As expected when i move back to the bed, the kisses went away. This is like 6 years ago when I was still sleeping in our upstairs room and she would always give me a good kiss before I went to bed but not when we were sleeping together. She admitted to me that it was because the kiss when we were together could lead to 'more'. Am I surprised? not at all. Still not sure where things will go this year, but we have needed each other this year due to surgeries and recovery. I am just tired!

We went out of town for the weekend and I slept in the bed instead of the sofa thinking that *maybe* there would be sex, but NOPE - NOTHING. she even sort of teased that she would model a new pair of boots I got her but she was too *tired* Oh, well. Well, we went out on New Years Eve to the theater and dinner and I was hoping that we would have end of year/new year sex at or around midnight. Since my shoulder surgery I have been sleeping in a recliner in the bedroom on Dr. orders but it is not real comfortable and he said as long as I refrain from rolling around and keep my arm brace on I can sleep in the bed so I figured I would give it a shot and hope for some sex as well. The Wife was/seemed happy that I was back in bed and cuddled up to me stroking my dick and then went to sleep. Oh well, it was almost 12:30 AM anyway. I did manage to sleep in the bed pretty well so will try again tonight.
Edit ... I will be having surgery to repair my torn rotator cuff (and more damage) from a fall I took in May. I may not be around much for a while, but hope to be back in 3 or 4 weeks.

Saturday, November 27, 2021, 12:47:41 PM- On vacation

We are on a 10 day 'true' vacation. As relaxing as possible considering there is family involved. I sort of assumed that there would be sex involved a few times since her hip is doing much better and that had been the 'excuse' for the past year. Well, we did fuck once and it was sort of ok, we have had better and she did not seem that into it. We are headed home starting today (driving with our travel trailer) so it is safe to assume that there will be no more fucking on THIS vacation as tonight we will be overnighting in a parking lot in our trailer and should be home by Sunday afternoon/evening.
Oh, well, once we are home we are there for 2 weeks, then we head out of town for my shoulder surgery. I do not want to upset her too much between now and then since I will need her care during recovery, but early next year there will have to be another discussion about consistency of intimacy and whether she really has an interest or is just going through the motions.
